My name is Marie. I love teaching, I love teachers, and I love the community a school has the capability to create. But teaching is hard. So hard. And being a new teacher is even harder.

The majority of my 5 years as a public school teacher were spent in an English Language Arts inclusion middle school classroom where students boasted a broad range of abilities. I now stay at home with my son and have an online writing tutoring business to keep my brain in teaching mode. I have every intention of returning to the public school classroom as soon as my son lines up for Kindergarten.
